About Us

Dr. Brian N. Sturgill is an experienced optometrist with over a decade of clinical practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered eye care. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Arizona College of Optometry in 2013. Additionally, Dr. Sturgill holds an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
 
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Sturgill proudly served as both an officer and an optometrist. His commitment to service extends globally through his participation in numerous humanitarian projects and medical missions, including trips to Uganda, Fiji, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, as well as initiatives within his local community.
 
Dr. Sturgill specializes in comprehensive eye examinations and the management of ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye disease, and low vision. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and serves as a member and mission leader for the Surfer’s Medical Association.
 
Originally from the Cincinnati area—where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout—Dr. Sturgill now resides in San Diego, California, with his wife and two children. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, surfing, and playing basketball.
